Another piece of work of mine similar to my previous pic, but this time using the main character Anne from the webcomic 'The Wotch'.
Just like my previous pic with Cassie, I changed the design of Anne to what I think would be appropriate. I added a vest becuase Anne may be a magic user, but also needs ingrediants for certain spells, and the vest contain these ingrediants.
She also doesn't wear a necklace with a small flute on it, but I added it in because you never did learn what the character did with the flute which gave her her Wotch powers.
I also thought it would be neat to ad Glyphs over her body
I took a different approach to the line art for this one, and I must say I really like it, and perhaps, may continue this way (not for my comics though).
I didn't work that hard on the shadowing for this piece, but I am pleased with the lighting effects for it.
I liked how the eyes worked in this, but I'm thinking about doing a slightly different approach with it next time.
I think I did a pretty good job with the special magic effects, much better than last time, but I am convinced I need to do a better job with it next time.
Now for what I dont like. Every time I looked at this I think I drew the head too large, but maybe I did that with my last pic, but it was balanced out with the trenchcoat.
I may have made a few parts a little too bright.
I think I should have put some more, 'expression' in her face.
I also think my own picture rants are a bit too long, anywho, I'll post this up in 'The Wotch' forum...when every the hell I feel like it, it's not like I can trust that community with helpfull comments, or comments in general (no offence)
This is a great new piece, Fusion, and I can appreciate the subtle similarities and differences it has with "Random Cassie Pose."
I really like what you've done with Anne's outfit here. Her normal one seems a bit too plain at times, and the various additions here counter that to great effect. The vest is a nice touch, as is the 'extra skirt' coming down from underneath her shirt. The extra variety in tone makes her outfit much more interesting to look at. I also like the little flute necklace. As far as the glyphs go, they are an interesting touch, and you did a very good job of matching their clarity and intensity to the lighting. On her arms the blue shading of the glyphs tends to blend in with the background giving them a somewhat ephemeral feeling. However, the fact that they stop at her face seems a little strange when they're apparently covering the rest of her body. I'd sugget maybe having less glyphs, with them mostly showing up on her forearms, hands, and maybe lower legs. That way they don't end up becoming a distraction. As far as Anne's expression goes, I like the subtlety in her face, as it provides a good contrast to Cassie's. Although, you may have gone a little overboard with the lighting on her bangs. The spell effects are a big improvement over last time. They're similar to Cassie's flame in terms of color, but seem to be taking on the shape of her outstretched hands, a very nice effect.
Overall, this is a very good piece. And, like you said to me, if Anne appreciates your work enough to post something you did as filler, you must be doing something right.
I like this one alot, mainly because of the background.
It gives the feeling that Anne is in a world of her own, away from the training, the magic and the normal chaos that is a teenager's life. Someplace that she can call hers, and no one elses.
I'm reminded of the final room of the Ice Cave in Legend of Zelda: Orcarina of time when you learn the Water Temple warp song from Sheik, where the camera pans through the infinite crystal walls as the music plays. A very relaxing scene, calm and beautiful yet tinged with the feeling that Anne is feeling all the stress that comes with bearing the Wotch mantle.
This is a beautiful peice Fusion, and I can't wait to see more.

I thought adding glyphs to her face would look stupid or just wierd, but it does seem a bit strange. Just so you know, even if you can't see it, the glyphs aren't on her hands or feet either.
